The Return of Terrazzo
Terrazzo - or polished stone, as it is traditionally known, with a long history from the Venice region of Italy, has made an impressive comeback in recent years with diverse designs, particularly in colors and materials, suitable for many spaces: from traditional flooring to wall decoration, countertops, kitchen islands, kitchen backsplashes, and interior surfaces, both indoors and outdoors.
Traditional Terrazzo is produced by mixing a blend of stone chips of various sizes and binding materials, adding color, and then grinding and polishing the surface flat.
Application for tabletop products
Along with the development of production technology, especially inkjet printing, porcelain products with a terrazzo effect are a new option with many diverse surface designs, large sizes, and abundant applications, featuring outstanding technical properties: scratch resistance, waterproof, and low maintenance.
